The tutorial of making the icon of jeans effect(original tutorial)

According to their own understanding of how to make denim texture icon.
This is final effects:

Step 1, Create a file which is used to make the icon file and a small file used for copying the texture of jeans.

Step 2, Use the 1px pencil to draw the oblique line in the 5*5 file and make the fill pattern be with the transparent bottom.
Step 3, Define the background color in the icon document and I use such dark blue color of #072041

Step 4, Create a new blank layer on the ‘background’ and use the defined black oblique line to fill the document. You need to change the color of the oblique line here and there is no special requirement to the color only lighter than that of the background.
Step 5, Denim is not so smooth, so we need to add the basic effect to the background. First of all, we add ‘Noise’ to the ‘background’ and then add ‘Dust & Scratches

Step 6, We move on to deal with the texture of the oblique after completing the ‘background’ and we add ‘Film Grain’ effect to the ‘line’ layer.
Next, we create a new black layer named ‘shade’ with the filling value is ‘0%’ .
And add a ‘Gradient Overlay’ layer styles to the ‘shade’.

Step 7, We start drawing the icon after finishing the background part and firstly use the rounded rectangle tool to draw a box which is also the pocket of the jeans
filling value is ‘0%’. We begin to set the layer styles and you can do as you wish to use the straw to gain the color value.

Step 8, After drawing the ‘bag’ on the bottom of the pocket, we copy one layer named “bag 2” as the outer of the pocket and use pen tool to adjust the shape to build up the overall shape of the pocket.

Step 9, Begin to draw the special suture of the jeans. Let’s set the ‘Brush’ and adjust the size to 2px. The other parameters are as shown in the picture:
Next, adjust the shape tool into the path mode and draw a smaller rectangle than the border of the pocket. Set the foreground color into yellow gray and we can adjust the color later.
Then, move to “stroke path” and select the brush in the panels to find the dashes effect.
Use the same way to draw another line.
The middle horizontal line. To draw a line means to stroke.
Create a new layer and use the same color pencil to draw the crossing part of the heads of the lines. There is no need to be meticulous and it is not the jeans style of being meticulous.

Step 10, Begin to add the texture of the jeans to the pocket and copy the ‘line’ layer to name it ‘line background’ as well as drag it under the suture on the ‘bag 2’ and gain the selective part of the ‘bag’ layer. Narrow the selective part to 2px.
Make a mask to get the texture which just covers the pocket as well as change the mixed model into “screen” and the effect needs to be different from the background.
At this time, if you feel the suture is too dark, you can simply adjust the color.

Step 11, Let’s put something into the pocket, for example, put an iphone into it.
Turn to the selective part of the layer ‘bag 2’ and make an inverted mask to the iphone. The preliminary effect that put the iphone into the pocket is finished.
Next, move to make the stereo effect of the pocket and copy the ‘bag 2’ layer as well as make it rasterized and we use the rasterized layer to make procession.
We use the ‘Burn Tool’ sized 50px and adjust the exposure lower. Reverse to the iphone and dark the edge of it to get the stereo effect.
I need to explain it here that when we make the layer rasterized, the layer effect is not rasterized. The method I used is creating a new blank layer and merge it with the copy layer to keep the layer effect.

Step 12, Add a soft shadows between iphone and jeans
At last, make a small logo as a decoration to finish it..

The applied skills of texture of navigations on website (the PSD file attached, original tutorial)

First of all, let’s learn how to show the texture of a standard navigation.
A navigation, the visual focus and center of the whole site (especially the portal sites), plays a very important role in designing the website and its influence ranks only second to Banner. The success and failure of the navigation directly affect the performance of the whole site. Therefore, no matter it’s the corporate website or the flash site, we should not despise the design of the navigation.
I will roughly introduce the way of making the textural navigation here.
I always personally divide the texture of the navigation into several layers, such as the highlights, floodlight, pin light, projection and so on. They are also the basic al effects that an object should have and we synthesize them on the interface to better show the texture of the interface. More details to see the picture below.
The example in the picture above is the normal way to show the textures of the navigation. There are many ways and the effects achieved are various.
Then I will also introduce a way of showing the navigation with the complex texture. For example, the way of making the navigation with glass texture below!
Glass is a kind of material with specular reflection; therefore, we need more light to show its texture. I set a simple example and you can see how I achieve the glass effect in the picture below.
Actually, you can see that the base layer is a gradient layer and other effects are achieved by continuously creating the new layers from the two examples I offered. Moreover, the embodiment of the texture is formed in certain highlight, dim light and projection, therefore, my personal conclusion is based on the material object. Referring to others’ designs and applying the methods you learn in many ways, you can make a lot of textural and beautiful navigations.

The design idea and the PS process of the banana party

This article mainly introduces the design ideas and making process of the poster of a party.
Step 1, Make a yellow background layer and pay attention to the deep and shallow gradient effect on the hue.
Step 2, Input the chosen banana material.
Step 3, Use the level to adjust the hue of the banana to match the background.
Step 4, Use the pen tool to roughly cut the banana into pieces.
Step 5, Go on cutting and dispersing the banana peels. Then, an important step is to add a cross section to the cutting position of the banana, thus, the thickness is there.
Step 6, Shadow is the most important part and where there is the shadow there is the sense of being. Add a shadow to the bottom of the banana and notice the virtuality, reality and gradient of the shadow.
Step 7, Create a new layer and make some circles or make the circles in the CDR (the shadow needs)
Step 8, Select the circles and put them on the shadow.
Step 9, Narrow them and put them on the appropriate positions, moreover, reduce the transparency.
Step 10, Use the mask to daub them to make them natural.
Step 11, Next, refine the shadow and add some circle elements.
Step 12, Similarly, refine the background of the banana to extrude the theme.
Step 13, The complicated things start and firstly choose the suitable element material.
Step 14, Then put it beside the banana as the decoration element and adjust the color by yourself.
Step 15, Go on adding the element and the key point is adjusting the position to make it as the one you like.
Step 16, Also add some elements to the cross section of the banana to make it seem to be cut off by the small elements.
Step 17, Add the shadow to them after finishing it, thus, the small elements have the sense of being.
Step 18, The banana part has been finished and we use the pen tool to draw some color ribbons to make it flowing.
Step 19, Continue to perfect the flowing ribbon part and use the pen tool to fill it into other color.
Step 20, Go on using the pen tool to add some lines beside the ribbons.

1.draw out of lines
2. Click the “path” dialog box the right button on the “work path”
4. Select the “Stroke Path”
5. Select the “brush tool”, select the”simulate pressure”
Step 21, Use the mask to merge the ribbon layer and make the ribbons cross the banana peels.
Step 22, Create a new layer and use the airbrush to spray the light spots to make it flowing.
Step 23, Make the text theme and input the words.
Step 24, Use the pen tool to cut the words and slightly move their positions to make them stagger.
Step 25, Make a gradient layer under the layer of the theme words and stagger their positions to make the words have the three-dimensional sense and the light sensation.

Step 26, Add some decoration to the front and use some elements beside the banana.
Step 27, The words are white and seem giddy. Make a shadow to the words or copy the shadow of the banana directly, thus, the words have the core and the picture gets the balance.
Step 28, Look for the bubble material and adjust the size and the position beside the banana to make the picture luxuriant.
Step 29, Create a new layer on the top layer and use the airbrush to spray the yellow light spots on it. The size depends and we choose the “screen” of the layer mode to make the picture shinning instantly and the poster is finished here.

Draw tomato with PS(original tutorial)

In Hand Drawing of PS, the most required thing is patience. I don’t list detailed parameters in this paper, only steps and ideas of Hand Drawing. You should work out parameters by yourselves. I hope my steps and ideas will be helpful to you.
Step 1, draw such a path with Pen tool. It is not a regular oval.
Step 2, Sketch paths of other parts with the Pen again.
Step 3, In this step, draw the light and shadow relationship of the general structure of the tomato, still with the Pen tool. In my case, I draw it in separate pieces, then fill in colors and feather paths. As to parameters, just follow your feelings.
Step 4, To further depict the tomato, “light” is very important. The method is same as above.
Step 5, To draw grains on the surface of the tomato, create a layer of the shape of the tomato, and add “Filter-Texture-Grain”. The mode of the layer is “Dissolve” and the transparency is about 10%, or you can try other methods.
Step 6, As same with step three, continue to depict the luster of the tomato. The drawing of cracks is simpler, just draw out the path, fill in colors and stroke(1px).
Step 7, To draw the split of the tomato, you should be patient enough. It requires little technology, and the method is same as above. The drawing of the particles in the split is same as that of particles on the surface.
Step 8, Draw out the general light-shadow relationship of the tomato pulp, and continue to enhance it. We can still use path-feather method here, and I have combined “Brush tool” to complete some small details(pulp has certain luster and transparency, so certain transparency is required when setting the brush).
Step 9, To draw some juice and pulp flow out of the tomato, brushes are also used to draw the pulp. You can try the several brushes in the red box and may have different feelings.
Step 10, A fresh tomato should have some dewdrops on it.
Step 11, The drawing of the dewdrops is same as that of other water drops. Water drops are transparent, so remember to adjust the transparency. Copy similar water drops, then adjust their sizes, shapes and light. Vector path is required here.
Step 12, Draw tomato leaves. Leaves of a ripened tomato will not be very fresh. To make them look more beautiful, I have drawn very fresh leaves.
Step 13, Noises can make leaves look furry. Look carefully and you will discover there are fine white furs on the leaves. The furs can be drawn with paths or brushes.
Step 14, Finally we have completed it.
